A Wine Adventure was initially launched to allow you to ‘Tame your wine’.

We wanted to offer a way to teach wine tasting with the help of games and wine tasting accessories that would make it fun and easy to learn.

The goal was not to host wine tasting sessions to sell you wine at the end, but truly to ‘desacralize’ the approach to wine tasting and make it accessible to anyone, bringing the knowledge and the attention that would allow you to ‘make it a friend', make it simple, accessible and fun.

Then COVID-19 happened. Face-to-face masterclasses with accessories were no longer an option, but cravings for wines, while being stuck at home, ramped up. We saw what staying at home did to the planet: wild animals came out again, pollution slowed down, and people realized this could be a turning point in our approach to travels, consumption, quality of life and what really mattered.

Although this period became an opportunity to offer more wines, we thought about what should be the values and the vision to select them: only wines that would be produced in a sustainable way with the future in mind. Organic certified but also sustainable winemaking and soil management would be our selection criteria. We started by importing Cerdon, an organic sparkling rose that doesn't exist in Singapore.

We decided to seek out winemakers with organic and sustainable practices and came across the wonderful women of Champagne Barbier-Louvet and Domaine Bel-Air-la-Royère, which we imported. We continued to source wine from local importers and increased our online selection, adding a criterion to select women winemakers’ wines. These wines are highlighted through a special category and we are looking forward to bringing more soon.

After the pandemic, A Wine Adventure started importing a small selection of French wines, and expanded the range of classes offered to include the Wine Cluedo, Bubbliness and Wine Explorers. Geraldine and Lucy joined the team as wine educators in 2023 and 2024.

As of 2024 A Wine Adventure has hosted close to 1,000 participants and has helped countless people understand wine in a fun and entertaining way! We range wines from all over the world, with over 50% of them made by women.

Mission

Our strongest motivation is to develop wine appreciation through games & share the amazing potential, complexity & beauty of the world of wines.

We are promoting and supporting women winemakers and women from the wine industry, creating support networks. We believe in winemakers' careful approach to sustainability, working the soils, the wiines and their wine with high environmental value techniques, not only for certification purposes but in terms of the full ecosystem and to prepare for the future.
